About this opportunity
For a qualified butcher or hands-on food operator, Multy Cut Meats offers something increasingly hard to find: an affordable entry point into business ownership with customers already walking through the door.
Located in the beachside suburb of Yorkeys Knob, this established butcher shop gives a new owner a platform they can build on from day one. With 12 years of trading history, a 4.8-star Google rating and loyal customers, Multy Cut Meats has the reputation, customer base and foundations in place. Now it is ready for its next owner to step in and take it forward.
This is not a blank canvas. The shop, equipment, suppliers, product range, customer base and staff support are already in place. The opportunity is for the next owner to bring energy, consistency and fresh ideas to grow what already exists.
The business is currently operated by a qualified owner-butcher with the support of a full-time qualified butcher. This gives an incoming buyer practical handover support and existing trade capability within the business.
Business Story
Multy Cut Meats is the kind of opportunity that suits a buyer who wants to be in the business, not watching it from the sidelines.
For a qualified butcher, husband-and-wife team, family operator or food industry buyer, the appeal is clear: the shop is already fitted out, the customer base exists, the product range is established, and the business is priced at a level that gives a new owner room to step in and make it their own.
The business services Yorkeys Knob and the surrounding Cairns northern beaches area, offering beef, chicken, pork, seafood, lamb, beef jerky and ready-to-cook specialty products. It has also built local supply channels through restaurants, pubs, clubs, sporting groups, fundraising activities, parties and events.
The next stage of growth does not require reinventing the business. It requires a motivated operator who can build on what is already there. Practical opportunities include online ordering, local delivery, BBQ packs, ready-to-cook meal packs, corporate catering, sporting club meat trays, seasonal promotions and further wholesale relationships.
The current owner is a qualified butcher and works in the business, supported by a full-time qualified butcher. The owner will provide handover support covering day-to-day operations, suppliers, products, procedures and customer relationships.
This is a business for someone who wants to own their trade, serve a local community and build value from an established base rather than starting from zero.

Phil started his working career in purchasing with large and multi-national companies in Sydney.
A family relocation to Bowen in 1974 was the catalyst to owning his own business.
Phil has been in various businesses from Pest Control to Delicatessen/Takeaway and has for the last 39 years built a wholesale business that has served Bowen, Whitsundays, Mackay and the Coalfields, from 1 truck and himself to 6 trucks and 15 employees.
This has given Phil a very solid knowledge of the area from Bowen to Rockhampton and what it takes to thrive in business there.
Phil has a strong knowledge of business and business practices built through the process of growing his own business as well as time spent on State Franchise Council and dealing with the many changing government policies in those 39 years.
The process of selling his own business has shown Phil the real need for a locally based business broker, easily contacted and heavily focused on the Central Queensland area, which has led to his involvement in CQ Business Brokers.
