About this opportunity
The Boral network encompasses a wide range of assets, including prized quarry and cement infrastructure, bitumen, construction materials recycling, and asphalt and concrete batching operations. This positions Boral Australia as a major player in the construction materials industry, offering a diverse array of building and construction products. The company employs approximately 7,500 people and contractors across more than 360 sites nationwide.
A cement truck contract with Boral Australia involves an agreement for the supply and delivery of cement to construction sites. Under this arrangement, the contractor owns and maintains the truck, while Boral owns the agitator and provides the concrete for delivery. The vehicle is being sold is a Mack Metro – Liner as part of the contract and requires a Heavy Ridged licence to operate.
Business Story
The sale is taking place because the current contract owner, who works full-time in mining, has found it challenging to manage the contract while on-site. Over time, it has become evident that the contract would be more effectively managed by an owner-operator. Although the current owner has primarily used the contract as a tax minimization tool, it has substantial potential beyond this purpose. Transitioning to an owner-operator model would streamline operations, significantly reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
This opportunity offers an ideal setup for enthusiastic buyers looking to enter self-employment as a contractor with a reputable national company at a very low entry price. If this prospect intrigues you, reach out and seize the opportunity today. We are here to support you in exploring this exciting business venture.

Phil started his working career in purchasing with large and multi-national companies in Sydney.
A family relocation to Bowen in 1974 was the catalyst to owning his own business.
Phil has been in various businesses from Pest Control to Delicatessen/Takeaway and has for the last 39 years built a wholesale business that has served Bowen, Whitsundays, Mackay and the Coalfields, from 1 truck and himself to 6 trucks and 15 employees.
This has given Phil a very solid knowledge of the area from Bowen to Rockhampton and what it takes to thrive in business there.
Phil has a strong knowledge of business and business practices built through the process of growing his own business as well as time spent on State Franchise Council and dealing with the many changing government policies in those 39 years.
The process of selling his own business has shown Phil the real need for a locally based business broker, easily contacted and heavily focused on the Central Queensland area, which has led to his involvement in CQ Business Brokers.
