About this opportunity
This established operation is a trusted and essential service provider within its region. With no direct local competition, the business benefits from consistent demand and a reliable customer base. A team of local employees ensures strong community ties, operational stability, and continuity for new owners. The business model is simple, efficient, and well-structured, making it suitable for both experienced operators and first-time buyers.
Business Story
A rare opportunity exists to acquire Hinchinbrook’s leading traffic management provider—a long-standing, locally trusted business with an exceptional reputation and zero direct competition in the Ingham region.
For years, Hinchinbrook Traffic Control has been the preferred operator for councils, contractors, and civil works teams across the district. Its strong local presence and deep community ties underpin its stability, credibility, and ongoing demand.
The business holds a unique market advantage: it is the only traffic control provider based locally. This unmatched position secures a steady pipeline of work from organisations that require reliable, compliant traffic management but have limited local alternatives. In an industry where responsiveness and trust matter, being the sole local operator drives repeat business and long-term client loyalty.
A team of locally based, experienced employees underpins the operation. Their knowledge of the region, road networks, and client expectations ensures smooth delivery and strong working relationships. For a new owner, this means reduced onboarding risk and immediate continuity of service.
Demand for traffic control services remains consistently strong across regional Queensland, fuelled by ongoing infrastructure upgrades, civil construction, utilities maintenance, and community events. With its established name and proven track record, Hinchinbrook Traffic Control is perfectly positioned to capture this demand and continue growing.
The business model is streamlined and easy to operate, making it suitable for both industry newcomers and experienced operators. Opportunities exist to expand service coverage, add equipment, or target additional sectors such as events, construction, and maintenance contractors.
This is a standout acquisition for buyers seeking a stable, essential-service business with strong regional dominance, loyal clients, and clear growth potential.

Phil started his working career in purchasing with large and multi-national companies in Sydney.
A family relocation to Bowen in 1974 was the catalyst to owning his own business.
Phil has been in various businesses from Pest Control to Delicatessen/Takeaway and has for the last 39 years built a wholesale business that has served Bowen, Whitsundays, Mackay and the Coalfields, from 1 truck and himself to 6 trucks and 15 employees.
This has given Phil a very solid knowledge of the area from Bowen to Rockhampton and what it takes to thrive in business there.
Phil has a strong knowledge of business and business practices built through the process of growing his own business as well as time spent on State Franchise Council and dealing with the many changing government policies in those 39 years.
The process of selling his own business has shown Phil the real need for a locally based business broker, easily contacted and heavily focused on the Central Queensland area, which has led to his involvement in CQ Business Brokers.
